Viewpoint Patch Notes
Update 2.0
Viewpoint version 2.0 brings significant changes to various features of the program. We've added support for Gemini 3, which is much more accurate, and still fast. We've also sped up the 2.5 models, and removed support for the no longer free 2.0 models. The settings menu has been completely redesigned, and the pdf reader has been updated to no longer cut off part of the pdf.
Additions
- Added support for Gemini 3 flash.
- Added the ability to right click an item with control enter.
- Added the ability to drag items. Press alt enter on the item you want to drag, and enter on the item you want to drop it onto.
- Added support for Gemini 2.5 flash lite.
Changes
- The settings dialog has been redesigned to have a more modern look with different tabs for each section.
- The PDF reader has been redesigned to show a progress dialog and scan the entire PDF file.
- Slightly adjusted the prompt for query mode to stop it from finding UI elements when it was not asked to.
- Gemini models capable of thinking will no longer think to improve speed.
- Removed the Gemini 2.0 flash and flash lite models.
Update 1.2
This update brings improved stability to the program by completely reworking the input handling. It also adds prompt groups, which lets you create more than ten query prompt presets.
Additions
- Added prompt groups that allow you to have multiple sets of query presets, configurable in the query prompt presets dialog.
- Added Ctrl+Alt+PageUp and Ctrl+Alt+PageDown to cycle between groups, adjustable in the key configuration.
Changes
- Completely reworked the way keyboard input is handled to improve stability and reliability. Because of this, all key maps have been reset, and the syntax has slightly changed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed certain key combinations triggering actions that were not bound to them.
Update 1.1
This update introduces query mode presets, allowing you to send preconfigured prompts directly to query mode. We've also added the ability to keep the UI open after clicking on an item in query mode.
Additions
- Added query prompt presets. These can be configured in settings and allow you to send preset prompts directly to query mode with Ctrl+Alt+1-0.
- Added a setting that allows you to stop UI mode from closing after clicking an item in query mode.
- Added support for gemini-2.0-flash-lite.
Update 1.0
Viewpoint 1.0 introduces a reworked query mode that allows you to ask for UI elements, even if they are not found by UI mode. It also adds support for the new Gemini 2.5 flash model, which is much slower but more capable for some complex tasks.
Additions
- Added the ability to find UI elements in query mode. If the AI determines that you are looking for a UI element, it will open UI mode with just the elements you are looking for.
- Added support for gemini-2.5-flash in the settings dialog (not recommended for daily use).
- There is now an icon in the taskbar for Viewpoint.
Bug Fixes
- Tried to fix hotkeys becoming unresponsive after a while.
Update 0.5
A fourth mode has been added to Viewpoint, query mode. With query mode, you can ask the AI questions about what's on your screen and get a quick answer.

Update 0.4 adds a commonly requested feature, the ability to remap the program's hotkeys. You can do so in the settings dialog.
